On Wednesday Night, we offer Bible study and small groups for Middle School Students, as well as a shared dinner. The students get to share about their life, faith, and struggles in a safe environment. The same program is offered for high school students on Thursday night.
We also host a service project once a month, where we take the students to different locations (such as Star of Hope, the Food Bank, etc.) and teach them the value of serving others. We also take middle schoolers on a local mission trip and high school students on an international mission trip each year. In addition to strengthening their faith through giving back to the community and assisting others, participating in service projects also impacts the confidence of those who serve. They realize God’s calling for each of us; that He needs all of us to be there for others in need, no matter our own background and resources, and that He has a specific purpose for each of other lives.
Several retreats are offered throughout the year for both middle and high school students.
NIA hosts outings every month with the intention to reach out to new teenagers who are not currently involved in our spiritual programs.
NIA has partnered with Dynamos for the Kicks for Kids program which offers the opportunity to bring underprivileged children out to a Houston Dynamo or Houston Dash game. Through the program, corporations have the ability to purchase tickets to upcoming Dynamo or Dash home matches, which Dynamo Charities then distributes to local children's charities and schools. These valuable donations allow children, who would not otherwise be able to, the opportunity to enjoy a positive morale building experience at BBVA Compass Stadium.
